bold new styling, and exciting new trims, the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 made a lot
of waves in the last year. Now, 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 updates have been
announced, revealing that the wave will continue with tasteful improvements and
“The Sierra is delivering the tech customers want in the light-duty truck market, and the 2020 model demonstrates that Professional Grade means never slowing down,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global GMC. “In just its first year on the market, the 2019 Sierra introduced the available, industry-first CarbonPro™ Bed and MultiPro™ tailgate. The truck’s 2020 updates show how the Sierra continues to raise the bar year in and year out.”
With respect to the CarbonPro™ Bed, it will now be more
widely available for the full model year after limited availability for 2018.
It will also be available with the 3.0-liter Duramax® turbo-diesel, which will also
become a fixture in the lineup for the full model year.
The 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 updates its capabilities with available Enhanced ProGrade Trailering, which includes a first-in-segment transparent trailer view and segment-leading 15 available cameras. The Sierra 1500 also gets new trailer tow mirrors as a free-flow option; the smooth 10-speed automatic transmission becomes available for models equipped with the 5.3-liter V8; and the Sierra Elevation will now be available in Crew Cab.
There’s even more to love thanks to the tasteful and purposeful 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 updates. To learn how you can get your 2020 Sierra 1500, call or stop into Mitchell Buick GMC.

The GMC MultiPro™ tailgate captured the hearts of truck drivers everywhere when it was released, and the GMC CarbonPro™ Edition will likely have the same effect. The CarbonPro™ carbon fiber bed will be available on the Sierra Denali 1500 and Sierra AT4 1500 in limited quantities this summer. The innovative CarbonPro™ bed is the first of its kind: It’s constructed with carbon fiber composite to deliver best-in-class dent, scratch, and corrosion resistance.
The CarbonPro™ bed is the toughest bed out there, protecting
your truck no matter what you’re hauling. Not only is the CarbonPro™ bed
incredibly strong and durable, but it naturally resists corrosion, guaranteeing
its durability over time and making a spray-in bedliner unnecessary. It also
weighs approximately 25 percent less than a standard steel bed — reducing truck
weight by about 60 pounds — and offers best-in-class cargo volume.
To optimize the bed’s functionality, the CarbonPro™ bed
features indentations for bike tires and two additional tie-down spots. The
CarbonPro™ bed’s heavy-duty credentials were validated by comprehensive
testing, including drop tests, a corrosion test, and extreme temperature
The CarbonPro™ bed will be more widely available in the coming year, with a greater quantity of models being produced for the 2020 model year. To learn about how you can get your hands on a GMC CarbonPro™ Edition Sierra, stop into Mitchell Buick GMC.
