New Buick Ad Campaign Features Reese Witherspoon in Futuristic Concept

In one of its latest partnerships, the Buick brand has joined with media company Hello Sunshine to look to the future. Hello Sunshine was founded by Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon with the mission of putting women at the center of stories.

The first spot of the new Buick ad campaign is called “Dream with Us.” In this 90-second video, we get a glimpse of what Buick imagines the future of transportation will look like. It features the Buick Wildcat EV concept to showcase these futuristic features.

Narrated by Witherspoon, the spot features women enjoying advanced features like autonomous driving, the exterior color changing to match an outfit, augmented reality projections on the windshield, and the windows automatically closing as bad weather rolls in.

“We are very excited to continue our work with Hello Sunshine, a company that shares our vision of empowering and celebrating women,” said Molly Peck, vice president, Buick and GMC Marketing. “With the largest percentage share of female buyers in the auto industry, we know that more and more women are making vehicle-buying decisions and we’re thinking creatively about how to offer experiences tailored to them.”

In addition to the brand campaign, the partnership with Witherspoon includes access to the Reese’s Book Club in-vehicle app in certain Buick vehicles. With this app, drivers can access audiobooks and podcasts specifically selected for Reese’s Book Club.

New Ultifi Platform to Debut in 2023 Models

GM Ultifi | Mitchell Buick GMC | San Angelo, TX

In September, GM announced the introduction of its new Ultifi platform, which will streamline and simplify the installment of new software to your vehicle, enhancing connectivity for you and your family.

The Ultifi platform is an enhancement of the Vehicle Intelligence Platform, which is already rolling out in some GM models. VIP offers over-the-air software updates, fast and safe connections to outside sources, and faster data processing. Ultifi builds upon the capabilities of VIP, enabling “accelerated development and deployment of software and applications over the air to millions of customers, without affecting basic hardware controls,” according to a GM press release.

Ultifi will work similarly to your smartphone in its personalization options, upgrades, and wide variety of apps. Adding Ultifi to your vehicle will give you easy access to the newest capabilities offered by developers. GM also enables you to save some settings to authenticated accounts so you can transfer between Ultifi-equipped GM vehicles.

The cloud-based connectivity of the new Ultifi platform will let you enjoy the full spectrum of your digital life from the comfort of your vehicle. Future projections include using facial recognition software to start your car, linking your vehicle to your smart home, and adjusting teen driver settings based on their real-time location.

The Ultifi platform will start appearing on GM products in 2023. Can’t wait that long for your next ride? Come see what we have in stock today at Mitchell Buick GMC in San Angelo, Texas.
